Review on Forest Policy Issues and Policy Processes : Proceedings of the International Summer School on Forest Policy Analysis : Forest Policy Analysis
In response to the increasing ecomonic, ecological and social demands on forest resources and their sustainable management, national forest and environmental policies as well as the international forest regime are undergoing substantial changes. Policy reformulations, in turn, call for improved policy analyses and evaluations. In order to advance forest p0olicy research, to establish and strengthen the network and collaboration between policy scientists and the institutions they represent, the European Forest Institute arranged an International Summer School on Forest Policy Analysis, in Joensuu, Finland, 2-8 June, 1996. These proceedings contain the reports prepared by the participants. They describe the diversity of present forest policy issues in the participaints' home countries as well as the ongoing policy formulation processes.
