Taking as a start point a similar study concerning the development and transformation of agricolture in Tuscany from 1840 to 1929, the Author examines here in detail the various forest aspects starting from observation and analysis of woody area during this period, both as a regional and province area and as smaller "homogeneous zones", where the forest dynamics showed greater significance.
