Abstract
Natural environments have a large potential for outdoor recreation and positive effects on human health and well-being. Blue spaces, landscapes dominated by water bodies, can have a stress-reducing effect, however knowledge on their health effects on human is largely missing and studies comparing the restorative effects of blue spaces with varying degrees of naturalness are rare.
