The autor traces the cource of mean empirical pure form-factor curves for various pure stem-classes and crown-percentage classes of Pine stems. He reaches the conclusion that the empirical pure form-factor curves for Pine stems of various sizes show a clearly-markes convergance in the region of the quarter-height. Thus the quarterheight may be empoyed as a basis from which generally-valid pure form-factors and diamter formulae may be derived. The investigation , however, has aslo shown that in determining general quartier-height form-factors, barked and unbarked stems must be considered separately, and that the crown-percentage must also be taken into account.
