Following to the call of Dr. E. Glesinger, Director-Forestry of FAO, on the Fifth World Forestry Congress, it is suggested how to realize a program for development and research of forest mensuration containing all possible uses of forest lands. 1. Systematical recording and rank of all possible uses of forest lands, 2. fixation of internationally uniform scales for these measurements, 3. investigation and tests of different kinds of measurement and evaluation. An example of arrangement is given to 1. Short directions are shown to 2 and 3. Special suggestions are given to a few individual points of measuring "forest influences". Finally it is repeated that undervaluation of forestry in world economy is dangerous for future human life and therefore it is very important to have progress in measuring the value of these "influence" in monetary terms.
