First successful attempts of electroacoustic effects registration of feeding activity produced by grown house longhorn beetle larvae (Hylotrupes bajulus L.) in pine wood (Pinus silvestris L.) were carried out. The possibility of registration of impulses produced by feeding of grown house longhorn beetle larvae with the use of available electroacoustic equipment was shown. This type of "eavesdropping" may be used in basic research of xylophagic insects and for practical uses such as restoration of buildings and conservation of monuments. The registered sounds of feeding larvae are of impulsive type. Impulses consists of series of impulses (3-5) every 0.3-0.8 seconds (depending on a sample). Series of impulses appear every several seconds. Longer periods of total lack of activity lasting for 30 minutes appear quite regularly. The amplitude levels of registered signals are from -20 to OdB (these are levels registered by the sound card, the levels registered by the accelerometer are much lower, due to enhancers' settings and sensitivity of the accelerometer).
