The contribution deals with the problematic of morphogenesis (natural long term development) of torrent bed. The research in the torrent Zeleznobreznicky potok in the southern part of the geomorphological formation Kremnicke vrchy Mts. was conducted. On the three 500 m long experimental sections at various distances from the place where this torrent empties into the river Hron for seven experimental profiles (totally 21) were established. On the experimental profiles the geometric characteristics of these natural discharge profiles were measured (bed width inside the banks B (m), height of discharge profile H (m) etc.). For all of these experimental discharge profiles the coefficient of quasi-uniform flow Mkp was calculated. Regression analysis between Mkp and relationship B.H-1 indicated very close correlations with correlation index 1yx=0,934.
