Relations of hydraulic geometry in naturally stabilized torrent beds were evaluated. The analysis of the relation between bankfull discharge QK (m3.s-1) and bed width inside the banks B (m), between QK (m3.s-1) and average depth of the bed Hφ (m), between QK (m3.s-1) and average flow velocity v (m.s-1) were studied. The relations of hydraulic geometry of naturally stabilized torrent beds can be used as an important initial particulars for process of optimalization for proposes of flow cross sections of ecological torrent control. The research on 34 experimental torrent sections with 34 experimental profiles on naturally stabilized - lower sections of 12 torrents on two geomorphologic parts of Central Slovakia - Pol'ana and Kremnicke vrchy (neovolcanics) was conducted.
