Phenological observations on forest tree species - Pedunculate Oak (Quercus robur L.), Small Leaved Lime (Tilia cordota Mill.), Common Alder (Alnus glutinos (L.) Gaertn.) and English Hawthorn (Crataegus laevigata (Poir.) DC.) during five years in the Borova hora Arboretum at the slopes of geomorphological sub-unit Zvolenska upland are presented. The phenological stage of budding beginning starts for each of species in March - alder (7th March), hawthorn (8th March), later lime (15th March) and oak (29th March). Leaves production had lasted for 10-20 days of crowns has been confirmed at the stage of leaves yellowing which had started at the end of August tll the middle of September (26-38 days). The diffences on flowering beginning among the individual years were the highest for oak (from 9 to 33 days) and lime (from 18 to 35 days), the hawthorn (1st September), oak (13th September), alder (24th September) and lime (25th September). Phenological observations of environment biotic components can be utilised in tree species breedening and reproduction as well as indicator of potential climate change impact on vital exhibition of tree species.
