There is perhaps no more intensive and profound means of informing citizens about their forest than through enabling young people to work in the forest. No other type of publicity furnishes as deep and enduringly positive impression of forest ecology. Through conventional forest work and a diverse activities program, the Ehrhorn Forest Hostel has in the past decade brought thousands of young people closer to the forest, and thus made a unique contribution to forest-related public relations.
