- Abstract"Waldlehrgärten" - Forest education gardens - are a new organization form of the forest education in the German Land Brandenburg. In this essay aspects of practically forest educational experiences in forest education gardens are described for the first time. Goal of the contribution is, in using scientific considerations in theory should be found knowledge to the nature of forest educational processes in forest education gardens. In the first place the terms "Forest education" and "Nature view" serve as in theory cover frame, also cultural and historical development of gardens and present pedagogical meaning of school gardens are named as orientations. Secondly results of an empirical investigation in the German Land Brandenburg are presented. This affects the forest political objectives for forest education gardens and conditions for the development in comparison with other organization forms. In addition forest educational concepts to the forest education gardens, models by the forest as well as definitions to the forest education gardens are named. Following goals and contents as well as methods and material of programs are analyzed. Furthermore forest education gardens as independent education sites and their use for other forest education organization forms are described. In addition first tendencies to the problem of the financing and organization of forest education gardens are explored. Final the results are sume uped in thesises and are discussed with respect for further research and development critically.
