Paper deals withthe stochastic growth model for pine. Appraisal variables of the stand of major importance in the moment of performing appropriate measurements are determined by it as well as the development of the stand for the ten-year period is forecast. Besides that information pertaining the treatments to be performed in the stand in the course of this period is also given by it. Simulation concerns the selective thinning and its urgency and intensity have been based on the analysis of the stocking degree of trees in the stand.
