Precision in the Determination of Pine Stand Taxation Elements Using Circular Sample Plots for the Investigation of Volume Dynamics Anticipating Changes of Forest Managment Method

In forest district Terzym, in the stands of III b and IV a age class, three investigation areas were determined by the autors: the experimental clearing area/37,88 ha/, comparative "reservation" area/35,78 ha/, and comparative felling area/41,01 ha/. On the experimental and "reservation" areas the breast height diameter of all trees and the height of their parts were measured. A repeated measurement was carried out on circular plots of 0,05 ha distributed in a 100 m x 50 m net. The statistical method of stand inventory gave minimal errors in the estimation of stand volume, slightly greater were the errors in the determination of breast height cross-section surface, and the greatest errors occurred in the determination of the number of trees, however they did not exceed 4,21%.
