- AbstractJuvenile spruce trees obtained from the seeds of the Sumava provenance were compared with the domestic Sobesice spruce. The trees were evaluated according to their growth properties, quality and resistance to harmful biotic and abiotic factors as related to their genetic origin. In the majority of characters the best results were obtained in the domestic Sobesice spruce followed by weeping spruce. The third place was occupied by columnar crown spruce from the seeds of the marginal tree and from those growing in the canopy. The lowest values were recorded in the provenance "King of Spruce-Trees" in which, in some characters, the comparison with the other provenances was omitted tor a low number of trees.
