Abstract
A method to analyze extractive substances of tree foliage is suggested. The composition of terpenoids contained by the foliar fraction of Scots pine, Norway spruce and Siberian fir has been determined. Intraspecific variations between the terpenoids recovered from needles and shoots, respectively, as well as compounds most typical for the given species, have been established. The composition of terpenoids contained by the needle fraction is shown to be highly data-capacious for an understanding of chemosystematics of Pinaceae.
