Abstract
In this research at first ecological characteristics of lands including: slope, climate, altitude, type and density of vegetation, geographical aspects and soil type (texture, structure, moisture, fertility, pH and salinity) were studied and related maps were provided. Then all maps were combined together to prepare the ecological units map. In all ecological units macroplots and microplots were selected to study tree - parameters, their regeneration and for root sampling. Diseases and pests were studied and diagnosed. The sites were studied again after the very dry last summer which was followed by winter snow and hurricane. The results show that a sensitive hybrid (Cupressus sempervirens x C. arizonica) was generated. The fertile soil of such a site causes shallow roots and the temperate climate causes fast growing woods to be produced. All these factors bring about damage by snow and wind. Some pests were collected that cause additional damage.
