The mapping methodology of probable damages due to snow avalanches and mudflow activity is considered on the base of according harzard maps and highway traffic and population density statistics. Formulae, elaborated by the authors earlier, are used for risk assessment. The level of risk is determined for the different sections of the road from Zayukovo to Azau and for the settelements Terskol and Azau (Northern Caucasus, Russia). The maps of avlanche and mudflow risk were produced for these territories.
