- AbstractEnvironmental sponsoring is a communication instrument with growing importance. Forest enterprises can profit from the current development by selling environmental services of forest outputs via sponsorships. But a sponsoring product consists of more than only an environmental service. It is a package of different components. Before offering such a package, a forest enterprise has to define possible products, to choose suitable projects and to find potential sponsors. Tax regulations as well as contract design have to be considered. The article describes practical solutions regarding the development of a sponsoring concept and regarding contract design with examples from the community forest Baden Switzerland.
