This paper presents the new business and workflow management system, which was implemented by the State Forest Administration of Rhineland-Palatinate in close conjunction with the model developed and the redefined main objectives. Now that resource management and budgeting are being decentralized, the most important element of the new business and workflow management system is "Controlling," which is carried out at a given forest enterprise using prognosis calculations based on product-oriented figures and cost/ performance calculations. The current state of affairs, the organizational processes and the problems occuring during implementation are described.
