- AbstractThe objective of this paper is to investigate changes in black pine (Pinus thunbergii Parl.) stand composition damaged by the wood nematode. The first step in undertaking treatment planning and the prediction of growth such forests, I investigated changes in the diameter distribution and spatial patterns of dead and residual trees. The results obtained suggest there is no relationship between diameter and the rate of mortality. Parameters of diameter distribution are almost constant. The spatial patterns of dead trees every year are fairly similar between plots but differ largely between years.
