The following paper will present the mountain torrent catchment of the Spissibach (BE) and the measurements and investigations carried out there. The variations of the outflow of two small catchment areas are analysed and compared to each other and to the whole catchment area. The second part is focused on the relation between runoff and bedload transport in steep mountain torrents. The available measurements of bedload transport are demonstrated and newly developped instruments for measuring bedload transport are presented.
