Linkages abound in atmospheric phenomena as well as in methods of dealing with gaseous emissions which lead to these phenomena. This paper explores technologies and methods of reducing emissions of greenhouse and acidic gases, with emphasis on electricity generation. It highlights the need for increasing energy efficiencies and the implications, both within the developed world and for interactins with developing countries, which may be the source of most emissions growth over future decades.
