To obtain data about deposition, accumulation and impact of VCHs and TCA, precipitation, soil and pine needle samples from several forest sites in Berlin and its surrounding areas were investigated. In view of possible effects of these compounds on forest trees, additionally the quality of epicuticular waxes of pine needle samples was evaluated. Data of temporal and regional load differences are presented and discussed with respect to the phytotoxic impact of environmental VCH and TCA levels.
