In the study the authors examine the alteration in the properties of wood boards under durable loading. In the tests creeping properties of - wood (Scotch pine, beech) - chipboards (cut chips and shavings) - extruded chipboard - fibreboards of medium density - fibreboards of high density - plywood were examined. The test results conform the order of different wood boards considering creep properties as it is defined in the reference. Creeping of Chipboard with fine surface is generally higher than it is with normal surface. Chipboard made of waste shaving present especially high values. Creep deformation of fibreboards of medium density is more significant that that of chipboards. Solid wood and plywood have lower creep deformation than chip- and fibreboard have. To consider creep deformation wood structures, the study gives relation numbers based on the examinations.
