- AbstractWith a present growing stock of over 350 mß per hectare in the public forests of Baden-Württemberg, forest inventory methods need to be changed in order to meet the requirements of modern management planning methods especially with respect to changing growth conditions. Systematic sampling methods with highly accurate results meet these demands. It is intended to make full use of the current volume increment and to keep stock volume at the present level in order to limit increasing risks. The programme of nature oriented silviculture ensures economically and ecologically favourable forests.
