- AbstractFour namens and four words are combined: the personages are Goethe and three famous foresters of his time; Heinrich v. Cotta (1763-1844), Georg Ludwig Hartig (1764-1837) and Gottlob König (1779-1849), von Cotta's brother-in-law, from whom the quote originated, which is the title of this paper, They are joined by a quartette of words important to foresters: nature/sustainability/structure and beauty. This results in a game comprised of four rows and four columns, arranged as in a quarter of a chess board. A quote and a picture is placed on each of its sixteen fields. With the exception of two, all stem from Goethe. This is viewed as pars pro tot, and represents an abundance of finds and thoughts, an invitation to seek the finds and think the thoughts.
