- AbstractThe research of the insolation properties of the forest trees species in the struggle against the pollution with industrial dust was carried out in tree larger industrial centres of SR Macedonia. 1. In the surroundings of the cement mill in Skopje the greatest amount of particles had deposited on the leaves of white mullberry (96,40 particles per 1 mm2 leaf surface) while the least amount had been found with the leares of small bast (18,55) in the surroundings of the steel work in Skopje the plane (54,15) had kept greatest amount of dust white the false accacia (24,77) the least, in the surroundings of the foundary in T. Veles the largest amount of dust found the leaves of the small bast (53,15) and least on the leavest of sweet locust (12,82). The largest amount of dust has been held by the trees in the immediate vicinity of the industrial objects, white in decreases with the distance. 2. The industrial dust deposits almost evenly on the whole surface of the leaf. 3. In the surroundings of the cement mill the largest fractions of dust been held by mullberry leaves (82.94 microns), white the smallest by small bast leavest (22,97); in the vicinity of the steel work the beantree had held on the largest particles (43,56) and the walnut the smallest (21,88) ; in the surroundings of the foundary in T Veles the largest particles were held on by the mullberry leaves (48,70) and the smallest by sweet locust leaves (24,75). The largest particules had been held on by the leaves of trees in the immediate vicinity of industrial objects. The fire of the particle lessens with the distance. 4. On basis of hithero done research we can say that the forest tree species have superb ability of holding on the industrial dust and not letting it pollute the environment. Therefore green forest belts should be raised in the immediate vicinity of the pollution sources because there they are most efficient in absorbing the industrial dust. At the end of this survey a wider if forest trees species most hit for raising protective green belts has been given.
