A Japanese system for cable logging is described. The system has a main line and an endless line which functions as a running skyline. On long settings a fixed skyline is used. The construction of the carriage makes an efficient slackpulling of the skidding line possible. This line is an extension of the main line. Main line support is applied when the yarding distance is more than 200-300 m. The yarder is interlocked by differential function clutch (DRK) and can be used multipurposely for a large number of cable logging systems. The distribed system can be applied to spans up to 800 m.
