In "Krusne hory" mountains, CSSR the experimental plot No. 4, Litvinov - Pritkov has been founded as a part of the 2nd international provenance experiment of Larix decidua IUFRO 1958/59 series. The plot with 8 particular provenances is situated at the altitude of 720 m above sea level in a dwarf beechspruce locality. The measurement and evaluation was realized at the age of 26 years. In growth rate the Japanese larch (Larix leptolepis Gord.), provenance Ina excells, European larch of High Tatras, Slovakia surpassing in stem quality. The Sudetic provenances of larch exhibit an average to above average quality and lesser stem plasticity.
