- AbstractThe chemistry of precipitation and gravitational soil water and the content of biogenous elements extracted by 1% citric acid were determined on research areas with adult spruce forests and on clear felling. In the Zelivka area, in the region without visible traces of spruce damage by air pollutants, the forest influenced higher dynamics of H, Al, Mn, Cl in the soil, while the nude areas effected the increase of dynamics (motion) of Cox, K, Na, Fe, NO3, SO42-. In the Moldava area the dynamics of all investigated elements was higher under the forest heavily damaged by immissions than on nude areas. In the surface parts of the soil profiles primarily the elution of Mg, Na and Mn could be observed. In the Moldava area intensive increase of Al and SO42- concentration took place. Repeated soil analyses found a drop of soil pH of the research area and contents of accessible Mg, K, Ca, Mn inthe Zelivka area. In the Moldava area no further drop of pH of extremely acid soil was observed, and the contents of K, Ca, Mg, Mn dropped less conspicuously, so that the contents of principal cations in the surface soil strata in the Moldava area is very near that of the Zelivka area. The variations in the contents of soluble Al manifest themselves also in the variations of "accessible" forms of P and S.
