Abstract
The amount of above-ground biomass of young (10 years and 20 years) pine- stands was ascertained. The amount was expressed by the dry eight of the individual components (stem, branches, needles). The regression relation between the basic dendrometric parameters (d=d.b.h; h=height; v=volume of stem) and the quantities of components was investigated. The highest correlation was found between the tree diameter at breast height and the dry weight of components with the regression equation (Formel). The biomass of the stand was estimated by means of the above equation and the diameter distribution. The stock of above-ground biomass (AGB) of ten years pine stand amounts to 18.5 t.ha-1, of which 4.7t fall to branches and 3.6t to needles; of 20 years pine old forest amounts to 102.9 t.ha-1, of which 19.5 t are branches and 10.8 t needles.
