- AbstractThe dry weight of trunks, branches and needles of Norway spruce of 20 years growing at an elevation of some 700m above sea level was found. The mean height of the stand was 6.1 m, d.b.h.=8.2cm.N=4610 trees per ha. On the basis of a total analysis of 55 trees the regression relation between the basic dendrometric parameters (d.b.h., height, volume) and the weight of the components was analyzed. The highest correlation was characterized by the function (Formel). The dry weight of the above-ground biomass of a mean tree amounted to 17.428 kg (trunk - 42.2%, branches 31.6%, needles 26.1%). The stock of trunks in the investigated stand was 35.147 t.ha-1, that of the branches 23.029 t.ha-1. The dry bulk weight of the timber part of the trunks amounted to 385 kg/cu.m.
