- AbstractThe influence of flooding was monitored along three lines. In the case of rods the floods have a positive effect on the preservation of their part above ground level. The net dry matter production per 1 sq.m is negatively influenced by the rising flood height. In the case of willow rods the flood heights between plus 5 cm and plus 20 cm have a stimulative effect, the plus 35 cm floods a retardation effect. The prolongation of the flood from 12 to 22 weeks did not influence the production of dry matter so heavily. The total length of the shoots is influenced considerably negatively by the increasing flood height. The flood prolongation influences is considerably less. Four most highly flood-resistant, three less resistant and five little resistant clones were selected.
