On the basis of evaluation of nine research plots with larch hybrids luxuriant growth of inter-species hybrids was ascertained at the age 11 years, particularly the combinations of the species Larix decidua and Larix leptolepis. The inter-species hybrids in the research plots exceeded the progeny of Larix decidua from free pollination by 5-22% in height, by 7-31% in diameter and by 29-122% in volume production. Also the straightness of the trunk of the inter-species hybrids inthe prevailing majority of research plots is better, on the average, than that of the progeny of the European larch from free pollination. The further part of the work outlines the further perspectives of hybridization within the genus Larix and the possibilities of utilization of further cultivation methods.
