The purpose of the present study at the age of one year is to get some information by foliar diagnosis on the walnut-trees. The foliar samples, collected from sixteen bloks, at regular intervals between the beginning and the end of the growth season, where submitted to different mensurations, weighings and analysis on N, P, K. The essential results are: 1) Nitrogen fertilisation significantly increased diameter and height increments; 2) During the growth season foliar content in N, P, and K decrease, recording in june a good amount of mineral elements; 3) The sum (N+P+K) reached 7,10 which confirms the high nutrient requirement of the species as regards the nutrition. The research should be repeated on different sites.
