- AbstractIn one-year-old pine plantations, 80 m wide, established in fresh cutting areas, the eating extension of the large pine weevil was studies in different periods of the vegetation season. The extension of eating was examined in the side, middle and intermediate zones. In the beginning of May, the greatest damage occurred in the side zone, and the least one in the middle zone. From mid June the spatial distribution of damage in the plantations changed: the greatest damage occurred in the middle zone, and the least one in the side zone. The greatest total extension of damage at the end of the measurement period took place in the middle zone of the plantations.
