Washington's farm or non-industrial private forest lands play an important role in the state's economy and environment as well as providing a variety of pecuniary and non-pecuniary benefits to forest landowners. Understanding the needs, desires, and wishes of forest land owners can be very valuable to foresters and policy makers who are responsible for assisting owners with the management of their lands. The results of the Washington non-industrial private landowner survey which was highlighted here will be analyzed intensively in the coming months. The results will de distributed widely within the forestry community, so that the information can be better used to assist the state's forest owners.
