The purpose of the investigation accounted for in this paper was to study the development of cones and seeds of Scots pine in Norrland (northern Sweden). the investigation covered the 7-year period from 1963 to 1970, and was carried out mainly in the interior of southern Västerbotten at altitudes between 300 and 550 metres above sea level.
