A micropropagation technique from buds was developed for the clone P. deltoides x P. maximowiczii "Eridano". The same is more rapid than the previsouly adopted for P. x euramericana since it includes only two "in vitro" phases, namely multiplication and rooting, without elongation with activated charcoal. The observations carried out on the outplanted stock indicate the possibility to perform cultures transplanting in the greenhouse until late summer. This offers two advantages: firstly, having more time available for the production and, secondly, avoiding a prolonged stay of the plantlets in the containers. By alternating proliferation cycles with transfers into rooting medium, the clone "Eridano" has been maintained "in vitro" for more than three years.
