Using a termoelectric method, sap flow densities were measured continuously in ten Scots pine trees and scaled up to stand transpiration rate via conductive xylem area which had been measured with computer tomography at the same trees. The values of the evident parameters sapflow rate, conductive xylem area and moisture storage in sapwood were rated for each tree. A correlation between sapflow density and moisture content in the sapwood was not found.
