Abstract
The lichen flora and mainly the epiphytic lichen vegetation in the Nationalpark Berchtesgaden and ist forefield was investigated from 1984 up to 1998. More than 5.000 specimen were collected in the whole area of the Nationalpark and ist forefield (Untersberg, Lattengebirge and the valley of Schwarzbach, Saalach and Bischofswiesen). Including the data of the literature, 718 species of epiphytic, terricolous and saxicolous species are recorded. The ecology and the frequency of merely all lichens is noted.
