Pattern of distribution of Collybia fusipes clones suggested a vegetative invasion of a large part, sometimes of the whole root system of individual mature oak trees. Infection from tree to tree looked far less frequent to occur if any. So, basidiospores look important to consider for root infection of Oak by Collybia fusipes.
