The purpose of the proceedings is to get an overview of the present state-of-the-art in Europe regarding: - supply and demand analysis of timber and forest industry products at national and regional levels (including the connections between international and domestic / local markets) - Forest sector analyses (i.e. analyses where the forestry and forest industry sectors are combined) at national and regioanl levels - Analyses of structural changes related to the forest sector - Data availability for consistent demand and supply analyses of timber and forest industry products at the European level. The proceedings consist of a set of countrywise reviews on the state-of-the-art for all EU countries as well as Norway, Poland, Russia and Slovakia.
