The following papers present a selection of the activities of Division M in quantitative hydrology and geodesy. They relate to: - Work for a very precise large-scale hydrological geo-information system on the River Saar; - Computation of long-term mean values of runoff in Germany as an important information source for territorial balances of water resources; - Studies in the River Elbe for the quantification of suspended sand as part of the sold-matter transport and regarding its contribution to bed forming processes; - Climatic studies on ice formation in the Main-Danube Canal; - Quality management according to DIN EN ISO 9001 in generating, supplying, and updating depth contours for the ARGO fairway information system (for the River Rheine). ...
