The aim of the study was to establish the standard times relevant to reforestation in the Eastern Black Sea forest region. The standard times for green cover removing, soil preparation and planting were estimated. The standard times for green cover removing per unit area were given in tables numbered 5, 6 and 7, for herbaceous, woody and mixed materials, by density classes and by green weight classes. Green cover cleaning was implemented on the strips of 3,5 m. width. The total area clearing added up to 7000 sq.m. Soil preparing was carried out on terraces of 80x80 cm dimensions with adepth 25-35 cm. The standard times per 1000 trunceted terraces were given in the tables No. 8a and 8b for two soil texture types i.e. coarse texture and fine texture, by slope, by stonness and by root density classes. Picea orientalis seedlings of 2+3, 3+2, 2+2, 4+0, 5+0 years old or Abies nordmanniana seedlings of 3+2, 2+3 years old were planted into pits digged by hoe. Planting teams consisted of two, or three workers. Standard times for planting per 1000 seedlings were presented in tabular form by stonness and by root density classes for two soil texture types (table 10).
