Abstract
Forest landscape restoration is widely recognised as a continuous process that requires considerable time to lead to visible results in the field as well as impact on people’s livelihood and well-being. In order to shape the participatory social processes, it is therefore important to support forest landscape restoration through adequate data and research. To this end, the present study has been implemented as a follow-up to an IUFROled comprehensive analysis in 2019 of the progress made in forest landscape restoration implementation in 17 different landscapes in nine selected countries in Africa, Asia and Latin America. This report presents the results of case studies in Ghana and India that were part of the 2019 work and have been further analysed with specific focus on forest landscape restoration-related governance issues.
