Ecological observation of Cardamine trifolia in the Tatra Mountains

In this paper the results of a two-year investigation on the autecology of Cardamine trifolia L. are presented. They include observation of the condition of occurrence, of the sequnce of phenological phases, of the flower and seed production, of the vegetative reproduction, of the germination and development of seedlings, and of the destructive influence of insects. The investigation was performed in 5 Tatra localities which lay at altitudes from 910 to 1310 m above sea level and in two different plant associations: Fagetum carpaticum and Piceetum normale.
