Inventory studies were performed for selected sample areas, representing different age/developing stages (pioneer-, establishing-, maturity- and degeneration stage) in the "dry heath" close to Retzow during an annual investigation. Main aim of that investigation was to evaluate the suitability of Heteroptera as bio-descriptors for the FFH-habitat type "European low land dry heath". Five hundred sixty seven (567) imagines out of 39 species, belonging to nine different families were collected in total by using three different methods. Seven of these bug species have been classified as endangered for the federal state of Brandenburg. Conclusions of the present paper have to be seen as tendency, since they are based on data, obtained during just one vegetation period as well as statements regarding coenosis are rather punctually than of general character, since they are based just upon one heath area.
