Abstract
Holzernte (logging) is a PC programme running under Windows and has been applied in practice since 1997. The programme provides versatile decision support for forestry and timber industry in the forest-wood chain. The increasing proportion of stumpage sales will make it an important tool of timber marketing. The paper presents new functions and extensions of the programme upgrade 6.0 which is the (preliminary) end of a 10 years development work. The new features are aimed at simplifying programme handling as well as expanding its flexibility and applicability.
