Abstract
The main processes concerning the fate of pesticides are discussed. The paper presents a modelling concept for pesticide transport and altrnative solution strategies. Two simulation concepts such as two site or two region models accounting for nonequilibrium phenomena for solute transport in unsaturated soils are used to investigate the effect of different parameters on breakthrough curves.
